A Brazilian in the 23rd year of sleeping in coffin once a week to honor his lost friend, stages collapse at Pukkelpop music festival in Belgium, funnel cloud over Wilmington, N.C. and so on are the most impressive news that happened during the last 24 hours.

It is fantastic to hear that every Friday night for 23 years, Zeli Ferreira Rosse from Brazil sleeps in the coffin to honor a friend who died in 1988. The two had promised to buy the coffin of whoever died first. Rossi’s friend bought him a coffin when he mistakenly thought Rossi had died in a 1983 car crash. After that, Rossi recovered and when his friend died in 1988 of multiple stab wounds he started sleeping in the coffin to honor his memory. Rossi shared that his weekly sleeping habit became public last month when his 14-year-old grandson wrote a story about him for his school’s newspaper.

On Thursday August 18, at least three people were killed and over 70 wounded at this accident just as the Chicago band The Smith Westerns were about to step onstage. Luckily, the band was physically unharmed, although all of their equipment was destroyed.
